Ingredients

Casserole
  • 8 count refrigerated Grands biscuit dough package
  • 1 pound bulk beef sausage
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 peppered gravy mix ((2 3/4 ounce, makes 2 cups))

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 13×9 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the beef sausage over medium heat until completely browned. Drain off the fat and set the beef sausage aside.

  4. Add the cooked beef sausage over the biscuit dough, then sprinkle the cheese over the beef sausage.
  5. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk; add salt and pepper to taste, then pour the mixture all over the casserole.
  6. Make the gravy according to the package instructions. Pour the prepared gravy over the whole casserole.
  7. Bake the casserole for 40-45 minutes until puffed up and golden brown on top.

Notes

For a spicier kick, use hot sausage or add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the gravy.
