Breakfast Casserole

A hearty and delicious breakfast casserole perfect for feeding a crowd. This recipe is customizable with your favorite meats and vegetables.

Ingredients
  

Base
  • 12 slices bread
  • 18 oz shredded cheese sprinkled generously
  • 1 pound your favorite meat layered on
  • Cooked vegetable of your choice none this time
  • 10 Eggs used 10
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Butter

Method
 

  1. Butter one side of all the bread slices.
  2. Place 6 slices of bread, buttered side down in a 9x13 inch pan.
  3. Top with meat, veggies and cheese.
  4. Place the other 6 slices of bread, buttered side up, on the top.
  5. Beat eggs in a bowl.
  6. Add salt and pepper.
  7. Pour the eggs into the casserole dish, making sure to cover all the bread.
  8. Cover the pan in foil and refrigerate over night.
  9. Keep the foil on and bake at 350 for 1 hour.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 1/2 hour, or until the bread is nicely browned.
  11. Let sit for 5 minutes, cut and serve.
