Ingredients
  

Meat
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 cups cubed bread (preferably stale or toasted)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 cup chopped green onions (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook sausage until browned, then drain.
  2. Whisk eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl.
  3. Layer bread, sausage, and cheese in a greased baking dish. Pour egg mixture over.
  4. Sprinkle green onions, cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake 15-20 more minutes.
  5. Let cool briefly before serving.

Notes

You can add extra green onions or cheese for more flavor.
