Ingredients
  

Potatoes
  • 2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix heavy cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  3. Layer half of potatoes in a greased dish, pour half of cream mixture, and sprinkle with cheeses.
  4. Add remaining potatoes, cream, and cheeses on top.
  5. Cover with foil, bake 45 mins, then uncover and bake 30 mins until golden.
  6. Cool slightly, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

Ensure potatoes are evenly sliced for uniform cooking.
