Method
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Brown ground beef or beef sausage in a skillet. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mix cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
- Unroll one can of crescent roll dough into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crescent roll dough.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the cream cheese mixture.
- Spread the ground beef mixture over the cheese.
- Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough on top of the beef.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese over the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before cutting and serving. Top with desired toppings.
Notes
For a spicier kick, use hot taco seasoning or add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the beef mixture.
