  • 1 lb frozen hashbrowns, thawed
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk whole milk recommended
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 8 slices cooked turkey bacon, crumbled
  • 2 green onions, sliced optional, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread hashbrowns evenly in the baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle bacon, cheddar, and mozzarella evenly over hashbrowns.
  4. Whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour egg mixture over hashbrowns and cheese. Gently press down. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
  6. Let cool for 5 minutes, then garnish with green onions. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use full-fat cheese and whole milk.
