Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix hash browns, sour cream, soup, 1.5 cups cheese, onion, butter, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer to a greased 9x13 inch dish, top with remaining cheese, and add cornflakes if desired.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let cool briefly before serving.
Notes
For extra crunch, sprinkle crushed cornflakes on top before baking.
