Ingredients
  

Canned Yams
  • 2 cans yams (15 oz each), drained
Sweeteners and Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix yams, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth.
  3. Spread mixture into a greased 9x13 inch dish.
  4. Top with marshmallows and pecans if desired.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and heated through.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract or a sprinkle of toasted marshmallows on top before baking.
