Ingredients
  

Meat
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 each jalapeño, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 4 slices pepper jack cheese
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns
  • Sliced avocado
  • Sour cream Sour cream
  • Salsa Salsa

Method
 

  1. Combine beef, onion, cilantro, jalapeño, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
  2. Grill or skillet-cook patties 4-5 minutes per side. Add cheese during last minute to melt.
  3. Toast buns until golden. Assemble burgers with avocado, sour cream, salsa, and top bun.
