Ingredients
  

Meat
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 onion onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook onion and ground beef in olive oil until browned; season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix cream of mushroom soup and milk; layer potatoes, beef mixture, and cheese in a greased dish. Pour soup mixture over layers.
  4. Top with remaining potatoes and cheese, cover with foil, and bake 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake 15-20 minutes until bubbly.
  5. Let cool briefly before serving.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add a splash of sour cream before serving.
