Holiday Pigs in a Blanket

Festive and easy-to-make Christmas appetizers that are always a crowd-pleaser. These pigs in a blanket are shaped to resemble little pigs, making them perfect for the holidays!

  • 14.1 oz refrigerated crescent roll dough 1 package
  • 16 little smokies sausages
  • Mustard or other dipping sauce optional
  • Egg wash 1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon of water (optional)
  • Everything bagel seasoning optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
  3. Cut each triangle into half or thirds lengthwise to create thin strips.
  4. Wrap each little smokie with a strip of dough, leaving a small portion exposed.
  5. Place wrapped sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning (optional).
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm with mustard or other dipping sauce.

Notes

For a sweeter flavor, brush the pigs in a blanket with a little maple syrup before baking.
