  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
Cream Cheese Filling
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg egg (for egg wash)

Method
 

  1. Warm milk, dissolve yeast, and let sit 5 mins.
  2. Mix dry ingredients, add pumpkin, butter, yeast mixture; knead until smooth.
  3. Divide dough into 8 pieces, fill with cream cheese, shape into pumpkins.
  4. Let shaped breads rise 30 mins, brush with egg, then bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 mins.
