Ingredients
  

Cake
  • 1 box white cake mix (15.25 ounces)
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Decoration
  • 1 container vanilla frosting (12-16 ounces)
  • Pastel sprinkles
  • Fresh strawberries sliced

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  4. Let cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  5. Once the cake is completely cool, frost with vanilla frosting.
  6. Decorate with pastel sprinkles and sliced fresh strawberries.

Notes

For an extra touch, you can add a layer of sliced strawberries between two cake layers if you bake two thinner cakes instead of one thick one.
