Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch dish.
- Peel and boil sweet potatoes until tender, then mash until smooth.
- Mix mashed sweet potatoes with sugar, melted butter, milk, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Pour into dish and prepare pecan streusel by combining pecans, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, and salt. Sprinkle over casserole.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and heated through. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, toast the pecans before adding to the streusel.
