Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Peel, boil, and mash sweet potatoes.
- Mix mashed sweet potatoes with sugar, milk, melted butter, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and eggs.
- Pour mixture into a greased baking dish and prepare pecan topping.
- Combine pecans, flour, and remaining sugar; sprinkle over the casserole. Add marshmallows if desired.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra crunch, add more pecans or marshmallows on top before baking.
