Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in cooked sausage, dried minced onion, and half of the cheddar cheese.
- Pour mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until set and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a spicier casserole, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or use hot breakfast sausage.
