Warm Caramel Apple Dump Cake in the Crockpot

A delicious and easy crockpot dessert combining apple pie filling, caramel, and cake for a cozy treat.

Ingredients
  

Canned Goods
  • 2 cups apple pie filling
  • 1 cups caramel sauce
Dry Mix
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
Spices
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Dairy
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted
Optional Toppings
  • 0.5 cups chopped nuts optional
For Serving
  • as needed vanilla ice cream optional

Method
 

  1. Spray crockpot with non-stick spray and add apple filling.
  2. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the apples.
  3. Mix cake mix and cinnamon, then sprinkle over apples.
  4. Pour melted butter over the top and drizzle remaining caramel.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours until bubbly.
  6. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes

For best results, use a slow cooker with at least 4-quart capacity.
